Holistic Bodywork
with mahina Lee
Thai Yoga Therapy

Thai Yoga Therapy is a unique offering that integrates the physical elements of Thai Bodywork with the somatic awareness and dialogue techniques of Yoga Therapy. As a certified Yoga Therapist, my intention is to provide a safe physical and emotional container for you to experience mind-body dialogue. These techniques are based off of the integration of Thai Bodywork with the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy model by Michael Lee.
In a typical Thai Yoga Therapy session, you are invited into a moving mindfulness practice while receiving slow Thai Bodywork focused on long holds and simple stretches, clothed and on the floor. You can share out loud any thoughts, feelings, sounds and sensations as they arise in real time, while coming back to the breath and the body as your anchors. As you share your observations, I offer compassionate, reflective listening, and some somatic, inner-child dialogue opportunities or parts work suggestions, and hold a safe container of confidentiality for whatever truths arise.
The body-mind integration found in Thai Yoga Therapy can be especially supportive for those who may be experiencing physical discomfort in conjunction with emotional distress. This work is helpful for those who recognize that the body and mind are very intricately connected and that taking time to listen and tend to the body can help us tend to our deeper emotional and spiritual needs as well as the physical body. You will be witnessed with compassionate presence while being invited to ground into your body and into deeper acceptance of what is.
A Thai Yoga Therapy session offers folks the opportunity to cultivate greater self-awareness, self-compassion and self-love while also addressing the body's physical pain and tension with deeply attuned bodywork.
